Agile and speed

It has never been easy to be a leader. Maybe it is tougher now than before and maybe it isn’t.

It is a fact that we have to faster than we ever have been before. The pace of disruption in the digital world is a radical reality to deal with. Someone is gunning to disrupt your business model. We may not see it and we many not know it but it is a reality. Knowing it, as a leader, gives us an advantage.

Are we measuring the cycle time from idea to execution? Do we have strategies to increase our speed of delivery? Are we fostering a culture of agility? Do we reward speed? Do we hire for speed?

We are up to the challenge. We need to focus on becoming more digital everyday. We need to focus our resources on accelerating that capacity. We can’t afford to let up.

Good leaders have always stepped out of their comfort zones, but converging global megatrends are putting more pressure on those at the top to navigate a faster, more complex, more integrated, and more transparent business world.
