The difference between the ROI of retaining a customer rather than acquiring a new one is startling. It’s been said that attracting a new customer costs five times as much as retaining a current one.
Why, then, do 44% of companies have a greater focus on customer acquisition than retention? Many time it’s because they don’t realize how important keeping those existing customers satisfied is.
One of the best ways to do this is simply by listening to your customers. We don’t mean to suggest that you should call or email every customer and ask if they are satisfied. A customer satisfaction survey will give you many of the answers you need.
