Here are five focus areas for consideration that will make a difference for our faith at work.

1. Love is the main thing about the main thing. We cannot go wrong if our mission every day is to focus on love. It should be our passion and mission at work.
2. Humility always wins the day. Even evil people at work appreciate the value of humility. Ours is a true humility based on our understanding of human nature and our own sins and mistakes. We admit them, repent, and seek mercy from Jesus.
3. Mercy is real and necessary. Being people of mercy will separate us from others at work. Mercy will show our love.
4. Purity is important and not to be ignored. Our actions must always reflect purity and a right standing with God.
5. Peacemaking changes everything. We should always, in our humility and mercy, be advocates for peace.

Here is the whole list from Jesus. Jesus is serious that he wants us to show others the Way of Jesus as we work these out at work.

• Fortunate [blessed] are the poor in spirit, for the kingdom of heaven is theirs.
• Fortunate are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.
• Fortunate are the humble, for they will inherit the earth.
• Fortunate are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.
• Fortunate are the merciful, for they will be shown mercy.
• Fortunate are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
• Fortunate are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.
• Fortunate are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for the kingdom of heaven is theirs.”

We need to keep in mind that God is God. When you bundle all the attributes of God in one unified whole, you have God. God is not just one or two things. God is unlike anything or anyone we could ever know or imagine. He is one of a kind, unique and without comparison. Even describing him with mere words truly falls short of capturing who he is – our words simply cannot do justice to describe our holy God.

God is infinite, never changes, has no needs, all powerful, all-knowing, always everywhere, full of perfect, unchanging wisdom, faithful, good, just, wrathful, merciful, gracious, loving, holy, glorious, infinitely beautiful, and great and more. God is God.
