Are we ready to be persecuted at work? Jesus has a promise for us. We will be. We must be ready.
- Are we ready to be fired?
- Are we ready to have complaints filed against us with Human Resources?
- Are we ready to be sued and taken to court?
- Are we ready?
But you are thinking, hmm, no one is persecuting me at work. That is true for many Christians I know at work. This is a problem and indicative that we are not living out our faith at work. This is a warning. Please take it seriously.
- John 15:20 — 20 “Remember the word that I said to you, ‘A slave is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you; if they kept My word, they will keep yours also.
- Acts 14:22 — 22 strengthening the souls of the disciples, encouraging them to continue in the faith, and saying, “Through many tribulations we must enter the kingdom of God.”
- 2 Timothy 3:12 — 12 Indeed, all who desire to live godly in the Messiah Jesus will be persecuted.
We should be ready for persecution where ever it may occur. Ready to forgive and make changes so we can continue following the Lord.
